Disney Reveals More Soarin’ Across America Scenery, Queue Details
We already talked about the most important update coming to Soarin’ Across America: Bruce Broughton’s updated score. Now let’s talk about what guests will actually be seeing while those lush orchestrations play.
Disney is still keeping many of the specifics under wraps, but they did reveal a few of the American icons coming to that giant curved screen. We already knew the Grand Canyon would get some screentime. And the Disney Parks Blog also confirmed what we all expected. We’ll be gliding over Mount Rushmore.
But what about the other “sweeping coastlines, vibrant cityscapes, and awe-inspiring natural landscapes” Disney teased? Here’s what we know so far:
- Diamond Head on Oahu
- A lighthouse in New England
- New York Harbor
- The autumn colors of the heartland
- Bayous
- The great plains of the West
- The northern wilderness
If I were a betting man, I’d say we can also count on a Washington, D.C. flyover. And either Disney World or Disneyland, depending on where you ride.
Soarin’ Challenge Across America
The queue’s Soarin’ Challenge is also getting an update. Disney teamed up with National Geographic to create the Soarin’ Challenge Across America, featuring “fun facts from beloved National Geographic titles, including 50 States, 5,000 Ideas, and stunning photography from the National Geographic archives.”
