Disney Delays Beak & Barrel Reservations After Morning Tech Troubles

Disney has informed guests that reservations for The Beak and Barrel will not be made available today. Here’s the announcement:

“Due to technical difficulties, reservations for Beak & Barrel will not launch today. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back for updates.”

We’re hearing Disney IT isn’t to blame for this morning’s technical difficulties. Sources tell us that a flood of automated web bots hit the site just before 6 AM, overwhelming its systems. While my sites draw only a fraction of Disney’s traffic, I’ve experienced similar attacks. They’re a massive headache. Preventing them from causing further damage takes time.
