Disney Bringing Ewok Batuu Adventure Buddies to Droid Depot
Droid Depot is about to be overrun by Ewoks. And the guests who want to take one home.
Starting August 13, 2026, Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge shop will cease to be a droid-only retailer when the first of three Batuu Adventure Buddies arrives. Disney hasn’t shared what the other two are. I wouldn’t bet against porgs. Or maybe loth-cats. Wait, could we be getting Grogus?
Update (August 14, 2026): We are getting Grogu! And a Huttlet. Disney confirmed the complete set this morning.
Unsurprisingly, Disney World guests will have to wait a little longer for the inventory to arrive in Hollywood Studios.
The lore behind these toys involves the Anzellans, another cute species from the Star Wars universe. Babu Frik, the droidsmith from The Rise of Skywalker, is probably the most famous Anzellan.
That crew has brought these Ewok toys to life with “expressive eyes, motorized facial expressions, and a mix of signature sounds.” Those sounds include giggles, laughs, and chatter.
They’re not kidding about the expressive eyes.
These toys are interactive
Tapping an Ewok once on its head or twice on its belly will trigger random responses. Three quick head taps will result in two animations:
- Endor Dance Party
Rhythmic eye animations and Ewokese chanting/drumming sounds. Nearby Ewoks may also chime in. - Forest Call Chain
Rapid double belly tap near other toys, letting out a scout call and allowing nearby toys to respond in their own languages.
We’re a little confused by the Forest Call Chain trigger. Disney shared that it happens with those three head taps, but the description says you’ll need to double tap the belly.
But that’s not all!
These characters can be purchased with gear packs for an additional fee. Those include:

The accessories are more than just eye candy. They also trigger additional animations, sounds, and reactions.
Guests wanting to purchase will be led to a wall bay inside the Droid Depot. There, a Cast Member will help them to select their Batuu Adventure Buddy and accessories. Once that’s complete, they’ll participate in a “special activation moment” that brings their buddy to life.
The Ewoks arrive in Disneyland’s Galaxy’s Edge on August 13, 2026, and sometime later in Hollywood Studios.
