Disney Believe Construction Progress Revealed in New Shipyard Photos
The Disney Believe has a funnel. It hasn’t been painted or decorated with Disney Cruise Line’s iconic Mickey ears, but it already looks fantastic.
Natacha Rafalski, President of Disney Signature Experiences, shared a photo of the ship earlier this evening after visiting the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. She was joined by members of the Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams to check on the ship’s progress. Here’s what she posted on LinkedIn:
The Disney Believe is taking shape!
I recently had the opportunity to visit Papenburg, Germany with our Disney Cruise Line and Walt Disney Imagineering teams to see the progress being made on our next ship.It’s incredible to see the ship at this stage in the building process. From holding a piece of steel to standing in front of the iconic funnel, the day was filled with excitement for the future. I truly cannot wait to see the Disney Believe come to life with every visit.
The Believe is Disney’s ninth ship, the fourth in the Wish class. The vessel’s guiding theme is “promise and possibilities,” with experiences inspired by characters who take a chance and discover what may come next. Those stories and characters will come from a long list of Disney franchises:

- Monsters, Inc.
- Zootopia
- Sorcerer Mickey from Fantasia

The Disney Believe will set sail on its maiden voyage in 2027.
