Disney Adventure to Feature Lion King Fireworks Show at Sea

Disney Cruise Line remains the only cruise line to offer fireworks at sea, and that tradition will continue aboard the Disney Adventure. The ship will feature The Lion King: Celebration in the Sky, a nighttime fireworks spectacular accompanied by music from the beloved film:

According to Disney, the show “celebrates the story and its characters through stunning pyrotechnics and dramatic lighting effects, and honors the iconic songs from the film.” Those songs include new arrangements of “Circle of Life,” “Hakuna Matata,” “He Lives in You,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra alongside the Ndlovu Youth Choir.

I love that last detail. I’ve been a fan of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra since college, when I listened to the orchestra’s recording of Richard Strauss’s An Alpine Symphony on repeat. You probably didn’t expect a Strauss reference in a Lion King post, but here we are.

Shah Rukh Khan, the voice of Mufasa in the Hindi-language versions of Disney’s The Lion King (2019) and Mufasa (2024), will serve as narrator.

The Disney Adventure sets sail from Singapore on its maiden voyage on March 10, 2026.
