D23 Spotlight Offers a Clearer Look at Disney World’s 55th-Anniversary Logo
An upcoming D23 event is giving us our best look yet at Walt Disney World’s 55th-anniversary logo. Earlier this week, Disney revealed part of the milestone artwork on some wearable merch. Today, we’re seeing the complete design.
The logo includes a Hidden Mickey, with the bottom halves of the two 5s serving as the ears and a globe forming the head. The geometric design and muted color palette give it a retro-modern look.
55 Magical Years of Storytelling
The logo features prominently in the artwork for an upcoming event at Walt Disney World. On October 4, 2026, “D23 Spotlight Series: 55 Magical Years of Storytelling” will take place at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Joe Rohde leads off the night, offering “insights into the power of storytelling” while sharing stories from his 40 years at Walt Disney Imagineering.
Then the Walt Disney Archives will offer a deep dive into Carousel of Progress:
“Archivists and Disney Imagineers will unveil fascinating stories and discoveries, as well as newly acquired treasures added to the Archives’ collection during the attraction’s ongoing refurbishment. Imagineers working on the newest additions to the Carousel of Progress will also join to reveal their own storytelling inspirations and share a bit of the magic to come to the attraction!”
There are two ticket options available: Panel Only and VIP. Panel Only costs $59, plus a $3 processing fee. VIP costs $159, plus the same fee, and includes a dessert reception in the West Rotunda at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney also promises “two special character meet-and-greet opportunities” and a coupon package from several Disney Springs partners.
Both ticket options come with a limited-release Walt Disney World Resort pin.

Tickets for D23 Spotlight Series: 55 Magical Years of Storytelling go on sale Friday, August 28, 2026, at 1 PM ET. D23 Gold and General Members may reserve tickets for themselves and up to three guests.
