Cementosaurus Removed from DinoLand U.S.A.
We all knew it was coming, but it was still a shock for guests walking through Animal Kingdom this morning. Cementosaurus, the towering, smiling icon of DinoLand U.S.A. was gone. Crews removed the dinosaur overnight to make way for an Encanto-themed attraction in the park’s new Tropical Americas land.

Thank goodness they did it after hours. I may have written “removed,” but Cementosaurus was actually demolished. BlogMickey shared pics of the rubble. Guests wouldn’t want to witness that carnage while walking to Expedition Everest.
Evan Patel, an Animal Kingdom Cast Member, posted photos of the new DinoLand skyline.

Crews were removing trees as Evan was taking those photos.
Literally was actively watching an excavator tear down trees in full view of everyone. I’m not going to lie that was very hard to watch. Goes against everything DAK stands for. I get they will be replanted, but damn, that was tough. pic.twitter.com/nIqbEeQVw5

Fossil Fun Games and TriceraTop Spin were demolished last month. With Cementosaurus gone, crews can start prepping the land for new construction. Disney confirmed the rest of DinoLand — DINOSAUR, The Boneyard, and Restaurantosaurus — will remain open a while longer.
