Book Palo Steakhouse on Your Next Disney Wish Cruise

We recently sailed on a 4-night Disney Wish cruise. While this was our first Wish experience, we have sailed on the Wonder a few times. We always enjoyed a Palo brunch on that ship, so we knew we had to book its namesake on the Wish. We are lucky we did. My party all agreed that it was one of our favorite meals we’ve ever enjoyed. What made it even more special was the fact that this was the first time our son was old enough to join us. Palo is adult-only, which is not unwelcome. After all, Disney Cruise mealtimes can be… chaotic.

Inspired by Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast, this adult-exclusive restaurant strikes a balance between time-honored Italian fare and modern steakhouse dining.

Disney’s description of Palo Steakhouse

We showed up on time, nicely dressed (it’s a requirement). I mean, I didn’t look all that great, but my wife did. Our party of five was escorted through the main dining room. Every table had a spectacular view of Nassau Harbour. We would’ve been happy with any table in the place. We were a little surprised, however, when the host led us into the private dining room. Our party of five looked a little sparse sitting at a table meant for a dozen or more diners, but we weren’t complaining.

I didn’t take any pics of the room (I’m not in the habit of documenting everything I do), but I promise it was beautiful, as was the view:

Our server, Silvio, was an instant favorite of everyone at the table. He was knowledgeable and outgoing. In between courses, he opened up about his family and career with the Disney Cruise Line. 10 of out 5 stars. Would totally recommend Silvio and the private dining room.

We definitely felt like upstairs people at that moment, especially when they brought out the shimmery champagne cocktails and mimosas.

So I’m not a food blogger. I’ll never write about the creaminess of the sauce or the earthiness of a glass of wine. I have a decent palate, but I’m no foodie.

But this meal was ridiculous. Book Palo Steakhouse and enjoy it. It’s worth the $50 per person upcharge. The food is delicious. The staff is stellar. The restaurant is peaceful (you’ll appreciate that immensely, I promise).

A note about your main dining rotation…

We’ve never booked a Palo dinner. You have to reserve your seating a couple of months before sailing, long before you know your dining rotation. We never want to risk missing out on Worlds of Marvel or Animator’s Palate if the reservations were to fall on the same evening.
