Avengers Campus Expansion Goes Vertical at Disney California Adventure

The expansion of Avengers Campus has gone vertical at Disney California Adventure! Disney Imagineering shared photos of the first steel column after it was lifted into place this morning. Here’s the announcement:

“Equipping more guests to become Super Heroes requires equipment! The expansion of Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park went vertical this morning with the first steel column lifted into place. New, thrilling attractions will join the campus, doubling its size in the future.”

We’re not sure which building got that first bit of steel, but we do know Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab are coming to Avengers Campus. The former will have guests traveling to Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City with the Hulk, Ant-Man, Black Panther, and other heroes. They’ll probably encounter King Thanos along the way.

Next, Stark Flight Lab will let guests test Tony Stark’s latest inventions. Two-person pods will move along conveyor belts before being picked up and spun by stationary robotic arms. It looks wild. I just hope my brain can take it.

Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab should debut sometime in 2027.
