Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto: New Details Revealed for the Tropical Americas Attraction

Jared Bush, fresh off announcing new movies during last night’s Disney Experiences Showcase, once again graced the Honda Center stage to dish on the Encanto attraction currently being built at Animal Kingdom. First, he shared the ride’s name: Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto.

He also shared new details and concept art for the attraction. The artwork perfectly matches drawings from a recently filed Disney Imagineering patent, showing ride vehicles ascending the stairs inside the Casita.

Here’s how the Disney Parks Blog describes the action:

“When you enter the house, you’ll board a ride vehicle meant to represent the different pieces of furniture assembled by the power of Casita to carry you through the rooms. They feel lively and dynamic, reacting like characters themselves to the scenes unfolding around you, which feels so perfectly representative of what we felt from the film.”

Once guests reach the upper levels of the house, they’ll find themselves in Antonio’s room, which has been transformed into a rainforest. More than 50 animals are being added to his “bedroom.” Bush was sure to emphasize that point when talking about how the ride fits into Animal Kingdom.

Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto won’t have a height requirement, a welcome addition to Animal Kingdom’s lean ride lineup.
