Animal Kingdom’s DiVine is Hiding Right in Front of You
Disney Imagineers take pride in creating hidden treasures in the parks. One of the most hidden – albeit moving – treasures is DiVine. This camouflaged performer is missed by a vast majority of Animal Kingdom guests. It’s not hard to see why. Her graceful movements and organic coverings let her blend in perfectly with her surroundings.
You’ll usually find DiVine near the entrance to the Oasis next to Garden Gate Gifts in Animal Kingdom. The wall you see in these pictures is the north side of the gift shop. She occasionally visits the path between Asia and Africa, as well.
Did I mention that DiVine is graceful? She’s also a contortionist. In the above photo, her leg is the highest point on her body. You can just make out her eye if you zoom in.
DiVine doesn’t usually interact with guests, but she’s amenable to being in your photos. Her slow movements will ensure you get a good shot. Just don’t get too close.
On a recent trip, an overzealous guest didn’t believe DiVine was real. He rushed up and repeatedly smacked her legs. DiVine remained calm, and her attendant was quick to intervene, but the rest of us were seeing red. Don’t be that guy.
