2024 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Details Announced
Disney Parks Blog just revealed details about the 2024 International Flower & Garden Festival. This is one of our favorites at EPCOT. I mean, who doesn’t love Orange Bird, butterflies, topiaries, music, and delicious food?
Mark your calendars as this year’s festival will begin on Feb. 28 and continue through May 27 for 90 days full of beautiful topiaries, inspirational gardens, delicious dishes and rockin’ music celebrating spring. From the tiniest tykes to the young at heart, there’s something for everyone!
Disney Parks Blog
This year’s Flower & Garden is more than a month shorter than the 2023 Festival, which ended on July 5. It’s possible Disney is planning to add a summer festival before Food & Wine happens in the fall.
So what’s new in 2024? Well, you already saw my favorite addition, the Groot topiary. Honestly, he’s the most appropriate Disney character to be grown as a topiary. Why did it take so long to add him?! But Groot isn’t the only thing we’re excited about…
Flower & Garden Festival Food
A Foodie Guide will be coming soon, but for now, Disney has shared the following items.
Topiaries
Groot will be the star, but Disney horticulturalists are growing over 70 topiaries for the Festival. In addition to our usual favorites, we can look forward to seeing Disney’s “Wish” stars at the front of the park and Coco’s Miguel and Dante in the Mexico Pavilion.

Butterfly Landing
This is such a cool space. As you walk through enclosed gardens, you’ll see butterflies in every stage of life. It’s beautiful and peaceful. EPCOT edutainment at its finest.
Flower & Garden Festival Merchandise
Orange Bird merch is always a big seller, but I’m loving that Coco bucket hat. Many more products will be announced later, all of them available at Festival Markets and Creations Shop.
Fresh Garden Rocks Concert Series
This concert series will feature local and international musical groups, including Modern English, Crowder, Lit, Monsieur Perine, and Fonseca. Dining Packages will come with priority seating for these concerts. Packages go on sale starting February 6. Here are the participating restaurants:
- Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
- Biergarten Restaurant
- Coral Reef Restaurant
- Garden Grill Restaurant
- Rose & Crown Dining Room
- Le Cellier Steakhouse
- Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Brews & Barbecue (same-day, in-person walk-up packages only)
Scavenger Hunts
We’ve never done a scavenger hunt in the parks, but I think we may start this year. Flower & Garden will feature two options:
At this year’s festival, the whole family can enjoy two seasonal scavenger hunts. Throughout the festival, follow Spike the Bee on his pollination trail where he’s “buzzing” to collect nectar from all the beautiful gardens with Spike’s Pollination Exploration. And for a limited time, you can also hop around World Showcase for the Egg-stravaganza Hunt! Twelve beautiful, bunny-inspired eggs will be placed throughout the park; can you find them all?
Maps are available to purchase. Once you complete your hunt, redeem your map for a prize.
We’ll be enjoying EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival in April. Hope to see you there!
