Universal Kids Resort Installs Colorful Parking Toll Booths

Universal Kids Resort may still be a couple of months away from welcoming guests, but its parking operations are nearly ready. Crews installed four prefabricated toll booths in the resort’s parking plaza yesterday, just days after they arrived on two 18-wheelers.

The booths have retro, Streamline Moderne vibes, with curved glass fronts and chrome that feel right at home in a theme park. Each is painted in a pastel color pulled straight from the Universal Kids Resort Hotel palette – pink, blue, green, and orange.

Parking attendants won’t mind this detail. The booths come equipped with small air conditioners. Rain gutters are also included.

That said, many guests may never even need to speak with a parking Team Member. Signage indicates that TollTag will be accepted. And around here, that pre-paid toll service is a way of life. I expect most drivers will only pause long enough for RFID readers to scan the chips embedded in their windshield stickers.

Parking booths aren’t exactly headline-grabbing, but you don’t install them until you’re getting close to needing them. With details like this falling into place and Universal ramping up its marketing in recent weeks, the next big question is when tickets and hotel bookings go live. Those are the details everyone is waiting on, and based on the current pace, it feels like that moment isn’t too far off.
