Universal Kids Resort Hires Wet Utilities Contractor

Construction of the new Universal Kids Resort will soon be moving to the next phase as Moss Utilities LLC has been hired to be the project’s wet utilities contractor. Moss’s President Garrett Moss announced the hire on LinkedIn, which was first reported by the Dallas Business Journal.

“This is a big project for us with over 30,000 [linear feet] of pipe and lots of storm drainage and structures. We are excited for our first project with Balfour Beatty US.”

Balfour Beatty Construction and Gensler are the local partners overseeing the park’s $550 million construction.

RPM xConstruction continues to move dirt around the 97-acre site. Moss said that his crews will began work soon. The utility company’s role is significant, as the park will have water features throughout. A Minions land is rumored to include a water ride. A SpongeBob SquarePants land will have a beach theme. Thanks to Orlando Park Stop for those insights.

I would expect Universal Kids Resort to hire an electrical contractor soon if they haven’t already. The park and an accompanying 300-room hotel are expected to open in mid-2026.
