Universal Kids Resort Annual Passes Revealed for Frisco Park

Universal Kids Resort Annual Passes Revealed for Frisco Park

Alongside finally revealing its grand opening date, Universal Kids Resort also pulled back the curtain on the park’s Annual Pass program. And honestly? The pricing is far more reasonable than we expected.

Universal is launching the Frisco park with two different Silver Annual Pass options. The only difference between them is the parking add-on. Both include the same blockout dates and restrictions.

Silver Annual Pass
$129.99 per person, plus tax
Blockout dates and additional restrictions apply

Silver Annual Pass with Parking
$164.99 per person, plus tax
Blockout dates and additional restrictions apply
Includes self-parking

Realistically, families will only need one parking-inclusive pass per vehicle.

How do Universal Kids Resort’s Annual Passes compare?

Whether these prices sound expensive probably depends on your theme park history. If you’re used to visiting Universal Orlando Resort or Walt Disney World, these feel shockingly affordable. If you’re comparing them to regional parks, maybe not so much.

For example, passes to Peppa Pig Theme Park in North Richland Hills, Texas, currently start at $59. Six Flags Over Texas also offers baseline Season Passes at lower prices than Universal Kids Resort’s offering.

That said, Universal Kids Resort operates under a very different set of constraints. The Frisco park offers far more attractions, entertainment, and lands than smaller children’s parks like Peppa Pig. At the same time, it occupies a much smaller footprint than a traditional regional park like Six Flags Over Texas.

That creates a unique balancing act for Universal. The company wants to encourage repeat visits, but it also has to be careful about keeping Annual Pass demand at a manageable level. There’s only so much room inside the park, especially during weekends, holidays, and school breaks.

The blockout calendar reflects that. Many spring and summer weekends are unavailable. Universal clearly wants to reserve a large chunk of the park’s capacity for day guests during its busiest times of year.

At the same time, Universal is positioning the experience as something more premium than a typical regional park visit. The company is betting that strong theming and recognizable IP will justify the higher prices for local families.

The math works out. Current ticket prices start at $55 for a 1-day visit and $74 for a 2-day ticket. That means a Silver Annual Pass pays for itself in two to three visits. Add in the parking savings, and the value is definitely there for repeat visitors.

Could more Universal Kids Resort Annual Pass tiers be coming?

Universal didn’t simply call these Annual Passes. They specifically called them Silver Annual Passes. Theme park fans know what that usually means. Silver tiers are often followed by Gold or Platinum offerings. Those usually come with additional perks and fewer blockout dates.

Right now, these launch passes are fairly straightforward. Universal hasn’t announced discounts on food or merchandise, exclusive events, early park entry, or other benefits commonly tied to higher-tier pass programs.

That’s why we strongly suspect additional Annual Pass tiers are part of the company’s long-term plan. A Gold or Platinum option with expanded access during peak seasons, dining and merchandise discounts, or exclusive experiences would make a lot of sense for local families willing to pay more for the privilege.

Universal started with a more restrictive Silver tier to keep attendance levels predictable during the park’s first year of operation. Once they better understand guest demand, rolling out other tiers feels like the next step.
