Grand opening of The Villas at Disneyland Hotel

The DVC Villas at Disneyland Hotel Are a Home Run

Take my review with a grain of salt. I’m not currently in Anaheim, but everything I’m seeing makes me wish I was. The DVC Villas at Disneyland Hotel are beautiful. The Disney Vacation Club Imagineers have designed a beautiful resort. I just wish I was one of the first to see it in person. The Mid-Century vibe of this resort is a perfect throwback to the early days of Disneyland.

Room Types

Like most DVC resorts, The Villas at Disneyland Hotel come in Deluxe Studio, 1-Bedroom Villa, 2-Bedroom Villa, and 3-Bedroom Grand Villa layouts. It also offers Duo Studios, a trend that was introduced with Disney’s Riviera Resort’s Tower Studios in Walt Disney World. Here’s what Disney has to say about each of these accommodations:

  • Duo Studios – Perfect for 2 Guests, these Studios offer a kitchenette and are where the story of Jungle Book will unfold in enchanting ways
  • Deluxe Studios – Sleep up to 4 and offer a kitchenette as they bring to life the story of Sleeping Beauty or Princess and the Frog
  • 1-Bedroom VillasPrincess and the Frog– or Fantasia-themed, these Villas sleep up to 5 and feature a full kitchen, spacious living area and a washer and dryer
  • 2-Bedroom VillasPrincess and the Frog– or Fantasia-themed, these Villas offer everything the 1-Bedroom Villas offer, and sleep up to 9
  • 3-Bedroom Grand Villas – These dreamlike Villas sleep up to 12 and feature all the amenities of other Villas, plus a 2-story window, a double-sided fireplace* and bedrooms inspired by Bambi, Frozen and Moana

Alright, enough writing. Let’s see this stunning hotel.

First up, enjoy this walkthrough provided by Disney Parks.

Carla Caramanna was one of the first to stay in this newest resort. She seems pretty happy with the results.

She also toured the 3-Bedroom Grand Villa. The artwork, double-sided fireplace, and humongous balcony are calling me. Oh, to have unlimited DVC points.

While I’d love to stay in a Grand Villa, I’ll most likely settle for a Deluxe Studio reservation. And that’s cool. It means we could stay more than 2 or 3 nights.

DCL Duo has provided us all with a Studio tour. I’d love to add that yellow sofa/Murphy bed to our home.

Finally, MousePlanet gave us a glimpse of the Duo Studio:

The split bathroom is a great addition. Also, I might want the green couch instead.

I love the look of this resort. Someday…
