Port Orleans – French Quarter Room Renovations Complete at Walt Disney World
Disney has completed the renovations of more than 1,000 rooms at Port Orleans – French Quarter. Designers paid homage to New Orleans, Mardi Gras, and The Princess and the Frog with the updated look. Outside, the hotel’s colorful facades, walkways, and greenery are meant to transport guests to “the lively streets of New Orleans.” Inside, patterns and colorful fabrics further immerse guests in the New Orleans culture.
Mosaic patterns on the headboards and bathroom barn door reveal hidden details, including Tiana’s tiara, trumpets, and drums. Wall art features Princess Tiana, Prince Naveen, Charlotte La Bouff, and Louis. The bathroom includes a mosaic tile floor. More importantly, it has a double vanity and plenty of storage.
Disney didn’t just renovate the hotel’s rooms. The Doubloon Lagoon pool area and Mardi Grogs pool bar recently reopened after receiving their makeovers. Each has a “brighter, more upscale look with airy blues, black-and-white tiles and wrought iron details.”
Diane Pete, general manager of the Port Orleans Resort, thinks guests will appreciate the updated hotel. “This resort is all about transporting guests to the heart of New Orleans, and the recent enhancements bring that story to life in exciting new ways. Everything ties back to the charm and culture that our guests love.”
With Port Orleans – French Quarter room renovations now complete, Disney will focus its efforts on Port Orleans – Riverside updates. Here’s the announcement:
“From early May 2025 through the end of February 2026, Guest rooms in the Magnolia Bend at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside will undergo refurbishment. During this time, Guests may see or hear construction work in the area.”
