New Waffle Headlines 2026 Butterbeer Season at Universal Parks

Butterbeer Season is returning to Universal parks, celebrating Harry Potter’s iconic drink with a mix of limited-time offerings and returning favorites. Guests can experience Butterbeer Season at Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood from March 1 through May 31.

Guests visiting Universal Beijing Resort and Universal Studios Japan can join the celebration as well. More on that in a bit.

This year’s Butterbeer Season also coincides with the 25th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Somehow, that’s not a typo.

Introducing the Butterbeer Waffle

Universal chefs have come up with something I’d eat every day of my life if I could – the Butterbeer Waffle. The perfect breakfast food will be available all day long at the Three Broomsticks in Islands of Adventure’s Hogsmeade and the Leaky Cauldron in Universal Studios Florida’s Diagon Alley. Hollywood guests will find it in the Three Broomsticks.

Universal Orlando is also unveiling four new Butterbeer treats, two of which will stick around after the season concludes. The following are available at Honeydukes in Hogsmeade and Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop in Diagon Alley:

Butterbeer Cupcake (available March 1 – May 31)
Vanilla cake filled with Butterbeer-flavored caramel and topped with Butterbeer-flavored icing and a sugary Butterbeer logo
Butterbeer Cookie Sandwich (available March 1 – May 31)
Two vanilla cookies mixed with Butterbeer chunks and stuffed with Butterbeer-flavored icing. It also comes with a Butterbeer Bar, a Butterbeer caramel drizzle, and a sugary Butterbeer logo on top

Epic Universe is also getting in on the act with sweets themed to 1920s Paris. K. Rammelle is offering the Bièraubeurre Truffle and Bièraubeurre Macaron. The Truffle is made with a milk or white chocolate shell, and the Macaron features a Butterbeer filling and a Butterbeer logo on top.

You’ll find the Bièraubeurre Creme Brûlée at Café L’air De La Sirène. This ridiculous dessert combines Butterbeer custard with Butterbeer cream. It comes with a sugar banner and white chocolate crisps.

Ah, to live in Florida.

Or California. Over in Universal Studios Hollywood, the Butterbeer Cream Puff is back. The pastry has a shortbread cookie butter filling and is topped with Butterbeer cream and drizzled with Butterbeer sauce.

Fans visiting Universal Beijing Resort and Universal Studios Japan can also enjoy the Butterbeer Cream Puff. Beijing’s dates are the same as the US parks – March 1 through May 31. Japan’s season is a bit shorter, running from April 1 through May 17.
