New Details for Shops, Eateries Coming to Downtown Disney
Disney shared details about several new shops and eateries coming to Downtown Disney. So if you’re into superhero merchandise, sandwiches, sweets, and boutique clothing, this post is for you.
Avengers Reserve
Avengers Reserve is an all-new shop that specializes in Marvel-themed collectibles, apparel, accessories, toys, and comics. Disney promises curated assortments, as well. This shop opens this winter.
D-Lander Shop
I might not be the target demographic for this next one. I buy most of my clothes at Costco. But D-Lander Shop is going to be popular with everyone who has more style than me. This new store is a “fresh, quintessentially Southern California boutique celebrating trend-forward fashions for Disneyland fans, offering a stylish collection of apparel, accessories, and jewelry.”
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets
I’m not sure I love the name change. Marceline’s Confectionery is being expanded and reimagined as Disney Wonderful World of Sweets. The new space will specialize in churro toffee, caramel apples, sour balls, lollipops, confections, and freshly made Werther’s Original Caramel popcorn. Guests will continue to be able to watch these treats being handmade in the exhibition kitchen.
Kawaii Slime
“I WANT SLIME!”
Every kid in Downtown Disney
A slime cart is coming to Downtown Disney. Kawaii — which means “cute” in Japanese — will specialize in “an imaginative array of slime concoctions and toys in a multitude of different textures, colors, scents and glittery mix-ins for kids and kids at heart to play with over and over again!” Parents might want to avoid this cart until they’re leaving the parks.
Joe Isidori’s Newest Restaurants
Disney shared more about Joe Isidori’s newest restaurants. The Michelin-starred chef’s full-service steakhouse will serve “prime cuts of beef, chops, fresh seafood, sandwiches, and chopped salads. Bourbon connoisseurs and mixology enthusiasts may enjoy an inventive selection of expertly crafted cocktails.”
Next door, Isidori’s barbecue restaurant will offer quick-service BBQ fare, including pulled pork, brisket, and smoked wings. The space will have an outdoor bar specializing in craft beers and moonshine cocktails. These two eateries are replacing Tortilla Jo’s.
Earl of Sandwich and The Carnaby Tavern
An all-new Earl of Sandwich concept is currently being developed for Downtown Disney. The ground floor will still serve those excellent sandwiches, while the second story will be home to The Carnaby Taven.
“The Carnaby Tavern is being designed as an homage to the swinging ‘60s ‘British Invasion’ pop and rock bands from the U.K. The restaurant will feature a patio with an indoor/outdoor full-service bar.”
Disney Parks Blog
The Earl’s eastside location will be closing in 2025 (to be replaced by Porto’s Bakery).
