Muppets and Metro Merchandise Coming to 2025 Destination D23

Destination D23 is coming to Disney World in a little over 8 days. For many fans, the real highlight isn’t the panels, it’s the shopping. Mickey’s of Glendale, the Walt Disney Imagineering campus store, is bringing a massive haul of merchandise to Coronado Springs. And Disney just let us know what some of those items are.

Passport Collection

Embracing this year’s theme, Journey Around the Worlds of Disney, Lead Concept Designer Mike Quinn drew on the spirit of travel and Imagineering artistry to create the Passport Collection. Inspired by global transit systems, he combined classic metro signage with Disney characters and location abbreviations for a cool look.

“With the overarching theme of travel, I wanted to do something unique and different, both visually and conceptually. And of course, something bold and graphic that would work well on a t-shirt.”

Disney Destinations Collection

Mary Blair inspired this year’s Disney Destinations Collection, which features “beloved characters and park icons from around the world.” Designed by Tyler Krantz, Product Designer for Mickey’s of Glendale, the collection “connects all six Disney castles through playful artwork featuring airborne characters like Dumbo, Goofy in his prop plane, and Orange Bird taking flight.”

The Muppets Studio Collections

To help celebrate the 70th anniversary of The Muppets, Mickey’s of Glendale will have three exclusive Muppets-themed drops:

The Muppets Studio Black & Gold Collection features the studio logo on a classic crew cap and a Spirit Jersey.
Kermit Takeover Capsule is a “soft, summery lime green takeover starring everyone’s favorite frog.”
The Muppets 70: #1–35 Collection is “inspired by the first 35 characters spotlighted in the anniversary campaign.” It features apparel and home goods.

Dani Iglesias, Producer for The Muppets Studio, designed much of the merch. She’s most excited for a 70th anniversary sweatshirt that her team has been working on for about a year. It features several Muppets in The Muppet Show’s arches. Absolute greatness.

In addition to all the above, Disney shared some looks from the Walt Disney Imagineering merchandise collection.
