John Williams’ Star Wars Music Is Finally Coming to Galaxy’s Edge

John Williams is coming to Galaxy’s Edge. Finally.

Beginning April 29, 2026, guests visiting Disneyland’s Batuu will hear Williams’ iconic Star Wars themes when they visit Batuu. That includes the unmatched Main Title, the “Force Theme,” “Han Solo and the Princess,” “The Desert and the Robot Auction,” “The Emperor,” and more.

And yes, the “Cantina Band” is finally heading to Oga’s Cantina. Here’s how the Disney Parks Blog announced the change:

“In the era of the Galactic Civil War, proprietor Oga Garra only recently opened this watering hole, which is already becoming a popular spot for intergalactic travelers.”

The arrival of Williams’ music is part of a broader rethinking of the land. Disney is loosening Galaxy’s Edge’s previously rigid timeline, allowing more eras – and more characters – to coexist on Batuu.

Immersion purists might object to hearing Williams’ themes at the edge of the galaxy. I don’t care. It’s John Williams.

Galaxy’s Edge was always visually stunning, but its sound is lacking, and few sounds carry more weight than Williams’ scores. This change doesn’t break the magic. It unlocks it.
