Groot Topiary Lands in EPCOT
EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival kicks off this Wednesday, but guests in the park are already getting a sneak peek into what’s coming. This morning, a Groot topiary sprang up in World Discovery near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Groot is one of over 70 topiaries that will be on display in EPCOT. Other new additions include:
- Disney Film, Wish (Asha, Valentino and the Wishing Star)
Main Entrance - Coco (Miguel and Dante)
World Showcase – Mexico Pavilion - China Penjing Garden – World Showcase – China Pavilion
Discover ancient Chinese art that recreates miniature landscapes. - Gnome Garden – World Showcase – Germany Pavilion
Discover topiary versions of magical garden gnomes, originating from German folk tales.
Let’s get back to Groot because he’s more than a moss-covered foam sculpture. He comes with a “working” cassette labeled Green-House Mix Vol. 1.
We've added video of the Groot topiary playing music! Head to the article below for the full video https://t.co/LJ9AX5AmYu pic.twitter.com/UrZWSP7SkI

Thanks to Blog Mickey for the video.
Younger guests will have no idea what Groot is holding, but kids who grew up in the 80s will love that the cassette reels actually move. I love the addition of the alien bee.

The 2024 International Flower & Garden Festival runs from February 28 through May 27.
