Alaska Airlines Reveals Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer

We talk a lot about airplane liveries in my house. My son is an aviation expert, so the topic comes up regularly. Today, his passion aligned with mine when a new Disney-themed livery arrived at Portland International Airport. Alaska Airlines rolled out a 737-800 wrapped in Tiana’s Bayou Adventure greatness. The plane is as beautiful as Tiana, who showed up for the festivities.

Artists spent more than 2,000 hours painting the design, which features Tiana on the tail wing and Louis the Alligator splashing in the fuselage’s bayou. Mama Odie and Prince Naveen can be found on the winglets. “Follow us to Disneyland Resort” is printed below the cockpit. Alaska Airlines shared a time-lapse of the paint going on the plane.

Disney and Alaska Airlines have collaborated on these paint jobs for more than two decades. Tiana’s is the ninth plane to be graced with a Disney livery.

My son tracked the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Flyer on its return flight from Santa Ana to Portland using FlightRadar24. The app’s default image for the plane hasn’t been updated with the new livery, but that’ll happen soon enough.
