2026 planDisney Search Opens August 6, Training at Disneyland
The search for 2026 planDisney panelists kicks off at noon EDT on August 6, 2025, with applications due by noon on August 11. This year’s timeline is slightly later than in previous years, when the process was moved up to allow for cruise-based training. For 2025, training will be held at Disneyland on December 1–5. Here’s the announcement from Disney:
“Do you love going on Disney vacations and sharing that love with others? Are you the go-to person for your family and friends when they want to plan a magical Disney trip? Can you successfully communicate your advice to others in clear and concise answers? Are you a stickler when it comes to grammar, spelling, and punctuation? If you answered “yes” to all of these questions, we want to hear from you!”
There are a few caveats. You can’t apply if you or a close relative works for Disney or its subsidiaries or affiliates. And you need to have gone on a somewhat recent Disney vacation, depending on your specialty:
- Walt Disney World Resort: Must have visited at least once between August 6, 2024, and August 10, 2025.
- Disneyland Resort: Must have visited at least once between August 6, 2024, and August 10, 2025.
- Disney Cruise Line: Must have sailed at least once between August 6, 2023, and August 10, 2025.
- Disney Vacation Club: Must have traveled to a Disney Destination utilizing your Membership at least once between August 6, 2023, and August 10, 2025.
Finally, you won’t be paid for your services. At least, not in cash. But you will receive a free Disney vacation, dependent on your specialty, for you and three family members. That seems worth it!
I’ve written plenty about planDisney. No, I never made the panel, but I agonized over 100-word answers and round 2 videos a few times. Good luck to all who apply!
